Carers Week - 8th - 14th June marks an annual awareness campaign to celebrate and recognise the vital contribution made by the UK's 6.5millions carers, so it seems only fitting to take this opportunity to celebrate the work of our incredible team.
A MASSIVE Thank you to all the carers and support staff out there. Thank you for our carer family, and continuing to be an amazing team. Its has been a honour to work along side you all - and having lots of fun on the way.
Keep it up the good work, making our service users feel safe and help them smile on the way, you are all truly amazing and also thank you to all the carers everywhere, you're doing a great job. Thank you
Take Care and Stay Safe

To mark the occasion and have a little fun amongst all the COVID-19 pandemic, our team put together a heartwarming video, which can be viewed on our Altogether Care Facebook Page.
In September 2019, Altogether Care had the privilege of attending the Health and Social Care Awards 2019 as a finalist in two category’s for the second year running;
Care Employer of the Year
Care Team of the Year
We had a fabulous evening hearing stories from across the health and social care sector and there were so many worthy contenders! Congratulations to all those nominated, finalists and winners!
Unfortunately we didn’t win Care Employer this year but we are so proud to have made it to the finals and would like to thank those who kindly nominated us.
However, our wonderful team of carers were the proud winners of the Care Team of the Year award! Our team work so hard and are so supportive of one another and truly deserved this award.
Unfortunately it was not possible for the whole team to attend the awards so earlier this week we made up a goody bag of pampering gifts for every employee to recognise their hard work and to ensure everyone was included.
Altogether Care would like to congratulate every member of our fantastic team, we are so very proud of you all 🌟
Continuing on from our previous post, the second category we were shorlisted for at the Health and Social Care awards was none other than:
THE CARE EMPLOYER AWARD
Our manager and Registered Provider, Helen, was absolutely lost for words to hear that she had won the award for Care Employer 2018! What an amazing achievement!
We had a lovely evening at the awards ceremony and every single finalist there was more than deserving of the awards! We heard a wide range of heart warming stories from across the Health and Social Care Sector and it was just fantastic to see so much recognition for many wonderful people.
We would like to extend our congratulations to all those that were nominated, finalists and award winners!
In September 2018, we had the pleasure of attending the Health and Social Care Awards 2018 hosted by the Hereford Times!
We were thrilled to have been shortlisted for two awards, the first being:
The Care Innovator - for our Night Care Team pilot that ran earlier this year for a 6 month period.
Unfortunately we didn't win the Care Innovator award but were just thrilled that we'd made it to the finalist stage anyway! We would like to say a huge congratulations to our lovely ladies that worked so hard on the Night Care Team Pilot!
Every month we announce a carer of the month, for somebody who has worked exceptionally hard over the month. This month, the lovely Jade and Stacy were both so fantastic that we just couldn’t decide between them had to announce them both as our carers of the month!
Well done Jade and Stacy! And thank you both very much for all your hard work.
What a crazy start to March 18! With all this snow around its hard to believe its now spring time! Our carers have been out and about battling the snow and loving every minute of it! Well done to all our lovely ladies who have been working exceptionally hard to reach all our service users! We have also seen huge amount of community spirit

We all got into the Children in Need spirit here at Altogether Care in November 2017 by having a PJ day! Our service users loved seeing everyone take part!
You may have seen us pictured in the latest issue of St Michaels Hospice newsletter! This is a charity very close to our hearts here at Altogether Care so we wanted to do a little something to raise some money. Altogether Care donated winnings from a trip to Ladies’ Day at Royal Ascot, attended by the group’s owner and manager, Helen Gordon (pictured right), and Mary Knight (left), a Senior Community Support Worker.
They won £196 between them, and kindly rounded it up to £200.
This figure was boosted by £302 collected during a Big Tea at their headquarters in Plough Lane, Hereford.
Members of Altogether Care have also supported St Michael’s in the past, taking part in The Paint Runner.
On 1st October 2017 we made the exciting move into our new offices! Don't worry though - we haven't gone far! In fact, we are just across the yard from our old office! Our office number remains the same (01432 344844) and is still answered 24 hours per day, 7 days per week!
In the last couple of months we have revamped our administration team and are pleased to announce Donna M (pictured further down this page) and Donna C as our new administration Team!
You can see Donna C pictured on the left with our Registered Provider Helen!
Altogether Care would like to announce that we have a new administrator in the office! The lovely Donna will be taking your calls every Monday and Tuesday
In July 2017, 5 of our staff members became dementia friends. 2 of these staff members became dementia champions. We are hoping to make all of our staff dementia friends. If you are a family member or a friend and your loved one has dementia and you would like to attend a session or simply find out more about dementia then please contact us on 01432 344844.
July 2017 saw our first Altogether Care Baby Shower! We must have had something in the water here as two of our lovely ladies are expecting! We had a fantastic afternoon and wish these ladies the best of luck!
